N K Restobar - NAMMUDE KADA / Club 410: Authentic Kerala Cuisine in Brampton, ON

All the dishes were delicious, and the flavours were perfect. The service was friendly and quick. Especially loved the paal kappa, it was incredibly tasty. Highly recommend this place!

With recent change in management, the quality and taste of the food especially the non veg have become some of my best kerala cuisine experiences that I had in canada. We have ordered from here several times and the taste has been consistently great. Their beef dishes are outstanding, we have tried their dry beef fry(like beef ulathiyathu), beef puttu pothi, kappa beef, kizhi beef porotta and beef biriyani. One thing I really appreciate is that the beef is well prepared without that strong blood taste that some feel sensitive or get at other restaurants in Canada for kerala cuisine. The chicken dishes like biriyani, chicken kondattam, chicken 65 taste was good and was even better when eaten fresh at the restaurant. Their parotta is decent and the appam is truly special, the slight sweetness pairs perfectly with their non veg side curries. I haven't tried their veg categories much, but their breakfast dosa items with evening snacks are satisfactory and are above average compared to other kerala spots, but can improve. Overall, this place is a hidden gem for kerala non veg food in Canada and a top favorite for me, my family and friends. Truly one of my must go to restaurants in mississauga for kerala cuisine. Had a wonderful experience at Nammude Kada! We tried appam, mutton roast, porotta, and fish mango curry, along with a refreshing lemon soda. Everything was absolutely delicious — the flavors were authentic, the spices were perfectly balanced, and the dishes tasted just like true Kerala home-style cooking. The mutton roast was tender and rich, the fish mango curry had the perfect tang, and the appam + porotta were soft and fresh. Service was friendly and quick as well. Highly recommend this place if you're craving real Kerala food! Will definitely be visiting again.

We(group of 5) went to NK Restobar last weekend mainly to try their fish curry meals, since one of us had already tried it the previous week and had given all of us a raving review about it. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately as there were plenty of seating available at the time. I side eyed a pazhampori sitting inside the glass shelves and couldn't resist. Past experience from many other Kerala restaurants have made all of us spectical about pazhamporis- but this one, this was an actual one! Made with very sweet,ripe bananas, and made in a batter that resembles the one that we make at home(not the fluffy ones that you get in shops in Kerala)- that instantly took us home. Another freshly made batch came in as we were leaving, and we ate few moreIt is a bit oily,but I would trade calories for such sweet pazhamporis any day! For mains, three of us had fish curry meals, and one had beef with bones biriyani(pothinte bone-in pieces ittu vecha biriyani-makes a hugeee difference), and one had fish platter. For a price of 13.99, fish curry meals is top notch(and is unlimited till 3 pm). It had matta rice, sambar, aviyal, mezhukkupuratti,pappadam, fish curry and a big fish fry(I think it was mackerel).I had devoured the fish curry to the last bit of it, and had multiple rounds of rice. The fish platter had crab roast, prawns roast and fry,and couple other fishes along with a fried fish and fish curry served with matta rice and a chapati.The crab roast had a nice flavour of pepper and went really well with chapathi( I took the gravy of crab and chapati from my friend's plate). The beef biriyani- before talking about it, I want to say about the chef/owner's presentation when we first arrived. He came in and explained to us the specials for the day, and the way he talked about this beef biriyani, made sure that we fell for it. He explained with such passion and confidence that you would want to know 'what is different with this biriyani(!?)'.. and it was different. It had all the flavours we have been missing in everything that was being served as 'biriyani's in most other places. It had that aroma and flavour unlike any beef biriyani we tried in Canada.We will be taking another trip to the place soon to have that biriyani- I sincerely hope that that taste stays. To sum it all up, we left with happy tummies, and a full heart! To the restaurant, please try to ensure that your food quality stays as is/improves, and I hope this restaurant reaches to more people!
